About The Position

Baylor Scott and White Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring an Occupational Therapist for acute care at PGA in Frisco, Texas. This is a PRN position. The role evaluates patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. The therapist directs discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and develops functional treatment programs to support patients’ return to community activities. The role also includes educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself, along with other professional duties related to patient care and therapy service development and delivery.

Requirements

• Acute care and orthopedic experience required.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment required.
• Exceptional customer service skills, critical thinking and decision-making skills, and a positive attitude.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs that support an effective return to community activities.
• Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself.
• Perform other professional duties associated with patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
