About The Position
As a client-focused Occupational Therapist you will provide assessment, treatment, and support to help patients achieve independence, restore function, and successfully reintegrate into the community. Working in a collaborative healthcare environment, you will deliver exceptional patient and family experiences while applying innovative and client-centered care practices. Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized university's Occupational Therapy Program
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
- Two years of current occupational therapy experience preferred
- Demonstrates a commitment to client-centered care
- Possesses current acute care experience
- Demonstrates skill and interest in working with individuals with varied diagnoses and impairments
- Demonstrates a commitment to developing an individual’s optimum level of independence, restoring function, and community reintegration
- Possess an attitude of respect and sensitivity towards clients with varied backgrounds, abilities, and educational statuses
- Demonstrates familiarity with the assessment and treatment of cognitive impairments
- Demonstrates initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to determine innovative solutions and treatment plans
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills
