About The Position
Practice at the Top of Your License: Evaluate and treat high-acuity patients in a fast-paced setting, focusing on early mobilization and critical decision-making for complex medical and surgical cases. Drive Discharge Excellence: Play a pivotal role in the care continuum by determining the safest next steps for patients, collaborating directly with physicians and case managers to reduce readmissions. Experience Clinical Variety: Rotate through diverse units—including the ICU, Step-down, and Med-Surg—utilizing advanced equipment to help patients regain independence during the most critical phase of their recovery.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
Nice To Haves
- National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519.
- Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
