About The Position
Garden City Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within the scope of practice. The role focuses on restoring function and preventing disability for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders. The Occupational Therapist works as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team and performs responsibilities in accordance with department and hospital policies and applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements, including Title 22 Sections 70517 and 70519. Garden City Hospital is a community-focused, state-of-the-art medical facility with more than 300 licensed beds and a teaching hospital. It offers medical education and graduate medical education programs, and has an award-winning staff of physicians across many specialties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification or license.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
Nice To Haves
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification is preferred.
- AOTA membership is preferred.
- OTAC membership is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within the scope of practice.
- Restore function and prevent disability for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with department and hospital policies and applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
