Provides occupational therapy services to patients who have impairments, developmental disabilities, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes under occasional guidance. Actively collaborates with the health care/educational team to meet patient care, outcomes and system improvement objectives. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team providing specialized care to children with developmental, sensory, communication, and functional challenges in a collaborative academic medical center environment. As a member of our pediatric rehabilitation team, you will: Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for infants, children, and adolescents in an outpatient setting. Work with children experiencing hearing loss, cochlear implants, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory regulation challenges, developmental disorders, and delays in functional skills. Support the needs of children participating in the Mama Lere Hearing School programs. Address developmental, sensory, fine motor, self-care, school readiness, and functional independence goals. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's needs and family priorities. Collaborate closely with pediatric speech-language pathologists and other interdisciplinary team members. Educate families and caregivers regarding home programs, adaptive strategies, and developmental support techniques. Maintain accurate documentation in Epic in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
