This position involves examining, evaluating, diagnosing, planning, and providing quality therapy treatments tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring they are medically prescribed and necessary, and adhering to professional practice standards. The role requires exercising independent judgment in clinical decision-making and preparing all necessary documentation to support patient care. The Occupational Therapist will also participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Essential functions include speaking and reading English proficiently, possessing knowledge of standard office equipment (calculator, fax, photocopier), and demonstrating personal computer and software skills (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Proficient Windows computer skills, including keyboarding, mouse usage for selecting items, drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, and copying, are required upon employment or within the first two weeks. The role also entails performing other assigned duties, adhering to Palomar Health's rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards, and upholding the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
