About The Position

Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their PRN IP/RHB Registry team. Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Must possess the skills, safeguards, and professional conduct of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

  • Performs patient evaluations to determine patient problems to address.
  • Develops an individualized patient plan of care, occupational therapy interventions and expected outcomes based on the evaluation and documents findings.
  • Implements or supervises the patient treatment within the established plan of care.
  • Evaluates or reassesses patient progress towards established goals.
  • Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and Physical Medicine Technicians on rotation.
  • Assists in discharge planning including communication to the patient, family and other health care professionals.
  • Exercises the skills, safeguards and professional conduct of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for reporting breakdown of necessary support services to supervisor.
  • Assists in orienting staff members.
  • Supervise OTA/OT clinical students, teen volunteers and shadow students.
  • Assists with departmental Performance Improvement Program.
  • Maintain adequate supplies, assists in keeping department clean and ready for patient treatment.
