About The Position

The Occupational Therapist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for evaluating, planning and implementing occupational therapy services for in-patients and outpatients referred for Occupational Therapy. With varied and dynamic day-to-day functions, you will apply your service orientation, analysis and good judgment toward ensuring comprehensive occupational therapy care for patients. This role is for a PRN (as needed) Occupational Therapist to participate in weekend rotation, weekday sick call, and PTO coverage. All employees are expected to cross-cover both Auburn and Covington Medical Centers. Per diem staff are also expected to work a minimum of 1 holiday per year, and be able to complete mandatory education/training during non-shift hours, but on the clock. The New Employee Orientation process is rigorous for the first few weeks to a month and certain aspects are mandatory with regard to schedule. Following the first 3-4 days, departmental orientation will be scheduled to get staff up and running.

Requirements

State of Washington Occupational Therapist license
Minimum one (1) year of previous experience in occupational therapy preferred

Responsibilities

Perform well in stress and emergency situations
Perform patient evaluations/re-evaluations, establish a treatment plan, and modify the treatment plan according to the needs of the patient and response to treatment
Perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient population as directed
Perform documentation in the medical record that is timely and accurate
Communicate well with patients, peers, other health professionals in the coordination of care for the patients
