Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist (OT) License
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently while managing time effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Home health experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and occupational therapy needs within their home environment
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on achieving meaningful goals
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and adaptive training to improve daily function
  • Educate patients and caregivers on safety, mobility, and activities of daily living
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications that support independence
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, caregivers, and family members
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes
