About The Position
PruittHealth is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence, improve daily living skills, and maximize their quality of life. The role is with a provider of post-acute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and therapy services. Compensation is up to $130,000 annually, based on experience, schedule, and location. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients’ abilities to perform activities of daily living, develops treatment plans, recommends adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, and addresses limitations that affect daily function. The therapist documents progress and outcomes, collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and educates patients and caregivers.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.
Nice To Haves
- NBCOT certification preferred.
- Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or post-acute care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Develop treatment plans that enhance independence and functional performance.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Address cognitive, physical, and sensory limitations impacting daily function.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
