OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
About The Position
Ignite Medical Resort Crown Point is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time position. The role involves treating patients with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics, neurological conditions, falls, respiratory conditions, generalized weakness/deconditioning, and medical management. The primary goal is to help patients return to their prior living situation or the next level of care, as this is a short-term rehabilitation facility. The patient load typically includes 1-5 evaluations per day and 4-10 treatment sessions per day, averaging 35-65 minutes per session. Documentation is handled through Nethealth and PointClickCare. The facility utilizes a specialized rehab technician to assist with patient services and is committed to technology, featuring equipment such as Andago (robotic assisted over ground gait trainer), NeuroRehabVR, ACP (E-stim/Ultrasound), Diathermy, OmniVR (virtual reality therapy system), Recumbent Stepper, and Recumbent Bike. Requirements
- Active applicable state licensure
- Clean background check
- Authorized to work in the United States of America
Responsibilities
- Treat patients with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics (fractures, joint replacements/revisions), neurological conditions (CVA, brain injury), falls, respiratory conditions, generalized weakness/deconditioning, medical management.
- Facilitate patient return to their prior living situation or the next level of care.
- Conduct 1-5 evaluations per day.
- Provide 4-10 treatment sessions per day, averaging 35-65 minutes per session.
- Utilize advanced technology and equipment such as Andago, NeuroRehabVR, ACP, Diathermy, OmniVR, Recumbent Stepper, and Recumbent Bike in patient treatment.
- Document patient progress and treatment using Nethealth and PointClickCare.
- Collaborate with a specialized rehab technician to provide additional patient services.
