About The Position

At Vicar’s Landing, our Occupational Therapists help residents live more independently, safely, and confidently every day. In this role, you’ll work one-on-one with residents to build practical skills that support daily living—from dressing and mobility to strength, coordination, and overall well-being. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Active Occupational Therapist license in the State of Florida
Strong understanding of functional therapy, rehabilitation, and patient-centered care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to assess needs and develop customized, goal-oriented care plans

Nice To Haves

Experience working with the geriatric population
Background in senior living, rehab, or healthcare settings
Experience with adaptive equipment and assistive technologies
1–2+ years of clinical experience

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop individualized therapy plans focused on improving daily living skills and independence
Provide hands-on therapy to support mobility, coordination, strength, and functional abilities
Help residents adapt to physical or cognitive challenges by introducing tools, techniques, and modifications
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes and resident goals
Document evaluations, treatments, and progress in an accurate and timely manner
Educate residents and families on therapy plans, safety, and techniques for continued success
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Ensure a safe environment by following infection control, safety, and compliance standards
Support residents with dignity, patience, and respect in every interaction
