About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring an Occupational Therapist for its Sierra Vista Visits team in Arizona, with work in the Sierra Vista or Benson area. The Occupational Therapist provides home-based skilled rehabilitation as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, helping clients remain at home and achieve their goals. The position may be per diem or up to full-time with benefits. The role involves assessing clients, developing and updating individualized care plans, delivering therapeutic interventions, and teaching clients and their representatives about rehabilitation and safe, independent living. Patient care observations, interventions, and evaluations are documented using a touch pad tablet. BAYADA offers paid training and around-the-clock clinical support.
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Arizona.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
- Solid computer skills.
- One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and measurements, including assessment of joint mobility and range of motion, transfer status, ambulation patterns and appearance, strength and endurance, balance, and safety.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance interventions, and other treatments.
- Implement integumentary protective interventions to prevent wound formation and promote wound repair using evidence-based dressings and topical agents.
- Continually assess and revise the Occupational Therapy care plan.
- Educate and instruct clients, family members, or other client representatives in rehabilitation and activities that promote health, safety, and independent living.
- Document patient care observations, interventions, and evaluations using a touch pad tablet.
