About The Position
As an Occupational Therapist - Staff on the Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Henry Ford Macomb - Clinton Township, you will help patients regain independence in daily living and work skills. You will conduct evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to support recovery in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The department works collaboratively to restore function and independence for patients recovering from injury or illness and serves a diverse patient population in Macomb County.
Requirements
- Occupational Therapy bachelor's degree from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited program.
- Current State of Michigan licensure.
- Current CPR certification, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Successfully complete the FIM certification exam with a score of at least 80% within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients recover or maintain daily living and work skills.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to support patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive strategies and techniques for independence.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
