Occupational Therapist / OT - Full Time
About The Position
Rehab Without Walls Neurorehabilitation is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, salaried position. This role focuses on client-centered, functional therapy, engaging patients in real-world activities such as cooking, shopping, dining out, outdoor activities, and returning to work. The ideal candidate thrives in an autonomous setting with a flexible schedule, values collaboration within a high-performing rehab team, and has experience with neurorehabilitation. The position involves in-person, 1:1 therapy with the ability to complete indirect services (documentation/communication) from home. Rehab Without Walls is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside of institutional settings into their natural home and community environment, designed to help people who have experienced brain injury, spinal cord injury, or stroke regain functional capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing
- Current CPR Certification
- A minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
- Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
- Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
- Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
- A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations to verify employee is physically capable of performing assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans
- Attend staffing meetings and family conferences
- Perform discharge evaluations
- Make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety
- Provide referral and education resources
- Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
- Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes
