About The Position

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to fill an opening with a community-based nonprofit facility located in Mountain View, California. This role focuses on providing person-centered care to participants in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with some flexibility to work 3 or 4 days/week. The role offers professional growth opportunities in a supportive community-based non-profit facility and is open to new graduates. The position allows you to contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for participants through occupational therapy services.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Must have a current California state license as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Must have a valid California Driver's license, a clean driving record, appropriate insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
  • Proficient in conducting in-home evaluations, activities of daily living (ADL) assessments, home safety evaluations, and using universal precautions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, compassion, patience, ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop person-centered care plans for incoming and active participants.
  • Serve as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team and assist with carrying out the Team's plan of care.
  • Provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care to participants as needed, including grooming, dressing, hygiene, and body mechanics training.
  • Train staff on proper ADL techniques and body mechanics.
  • Conduct in-home evaluations, as appropriate, for home safety considerations and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate safe practices by utilizing proper body mechanics, adhering to universal precautions, and maintaining environmental safety.
  • Contribute to a welcoming environment, assisting participants as needed.
  • Supervise participants throughout the Center to ensure their safety, proper care, and comfort.
  • Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and in-services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
