About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide home health services throughout Allston, Massachusetts. The therapist will deliver personalized skilled occupational therapy in patients’ homes to improve functional abilities, address everyday challenges, and support greater independence. The role offers flexible scheduling, per-visit compensation of up to $160, mileage and licensure reimbursement, and clinical and administrative support. The position includes access to ongoing training and professional development. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused and notes that its ABI Waiver Program helps promote consistent scheduling while maintaining flexibility for part-time clinicians.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
At least one year of clinical experience.
Afternoon availability.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide skilled interventions to improve strength, coordination, and functional performance.
Address activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Evaluate home safety and recommend adaptive equipment and modifications.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
