About The Position
SPEECHCOM, INC is seeking a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join their supportive and collaborative school-based team in the Corona Norco area of California. This full-time opportunity is for an immediate start and will continue through the end of the school year. The role involves supporting students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 12th grade in an in-person setting. The company emphasizes growth, support, and making an impact, encouraging both experienced school-based OTs and emerging therapists in this setting to apply.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active License in Occupational Therapy (State of California)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families.
- Sufficient technology skills to complete IEP documentation and communicate effectively via email.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance student mobility and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with other service providers to ensure effective discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Educate parents and families on treatment goals.
- Document student progress and adjust care plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Provide support and guidance for students with disabilities and those requiring early intervention.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with students, faculty members, and parents so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.
- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
