About The Position

This PRN Occupational Therapist position in Acute care is located in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The role involves performing specialized tests, conducting comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary teams, and providing occupational therapy treatment services to enhance patient functioning. Responsibilities include documenting goals and progress, participating in IFSP as needed, and conducting chart reviews for quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of applicable state with current licensure.
  • CPR Certification every two years.
  • Valid applicable state driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • M.A. or Doctorate (accreditation AOTA) preferred.
  • Active member of AOTA encouraged, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the performance of specialized tests, such as manual muscle testing, goniometry and teaching occupational therapy procedures to the patient, family and other health personnel.
  • Performs both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Provides written summary of diagnostic findings to be incorporated into team plan.
  • Provides occupational therapy treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstration, or other treatment modality to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
  • Provides documentation of goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient.
  • Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
  • Participates in chart review of clinical records for quality assurance.
