Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

About The Position

The occupational therapist delivers and supervises occupational therapy services. Upon referral, the OT evaluates patients and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implements those plans, reassesses treatment results, and actively participates in discharge planning. Care is provided through a team approach involving appropriate disciplines, significant others, and the patient. Care for pediatric adolescent orthopedic patients may be required. Coverage of inpatient and outpatient services may be required at the Ballard and Issaquah clinics. Services must comply with ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted practice. The position is with Swedish Issaquah, within a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Washington Occupational Therapist License upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

Participate actively in discharge planning.

Provide care for pediatric adolescent orthopedic patients when required.
Cover inpatient and outpatient services at the Ballard and Issaquah clinics when required.
