About The Position

The Occupational Therapist works independently to provide occupational therapy evaluations and therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician, consistent with agency policies and procedures, standards of practice, and regulations, as directed by the Rehab Director of Iredell Memorial Hospital. The role develops and administers occupational therapy treatment programs to facilitate rehabilitation of physically disabled patients and maximize function and independence.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Requirements

• Current licensure in North Carolina as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility to take the state licensure examination.
• CPR certification; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation that includes age- and population-specific skills for the area of practice and addresses growth and development needs for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
