About The Position
Boothby Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position in Laconia, NH. This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year supporting students in a public school / special education setting. The role involves providing occupational therapy services to students from K-12, focusing on developing essential skills for success in school and daily life.
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD)
- Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students
- Conduct OT evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals
- Deliver direct therapy (individual and small group sessions)
- Support students with fine motor skills and handwriting, sensory processing and sensory integration, executive functioning and organization, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, PTs, and SLPs
- Recommend accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
- Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
- Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
