About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Grapevine, TX is seeking a compassionate and driven Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN role. This position requires weekend availability and offers a weekday PRN rate of $60/hr and a weekend PRN rate of $66/hr. The unique role allows the therapist to float between acute care and inpatient rehab teams, providing comprehensive services across the continuum. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• Acute care experience, minimum one year required
• Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Minimum PRN requirements: 1 weekend shift of availability per month in addition to one high-need day (could be weekend or weekday), as determined by the needs of the department.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate on discharge planning to ensure safe and appropriate patient transitions
• Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards
• Completing patient/family education related to mobility, safe transfers and home exercise programs, as appropriate
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team
