This role provides occupational therapy services to an assigned caseload, focusing on students' documented therapy goals, including those in the Individualized Education Program (IEP). The therapist will develop and implement safe and appropriate therapeutic interventions, conduct assessments, make recommendations, and provide intervention in areas such as academics, play/leisure, vocational skills, and self-care. Documentation of progress and goals will be maintained in line with organizational policies and regulatory bodies. Collaboration with parents, school staff, and medical professionals is essential, as is the fabrication, maintenance, and monitoring of adaptive equipment and orthotics. The role also involves assisting with assistive technology (AT) and durable medical equipment (DME) needs, including participation in clinics, documenting medical necessity, and coordinating with vendors. The therapist will attend supervision and department meetings, and maintain office and therapy room organization.
