About The Position

As a client-focused Occupational Therapist, you will provide assessment, treatment, and support to help patients achieve independence, restore function, and successfully reintegrate into the community. Working in a collaborative healthcare environment, you will deliver exceptional patient and family experiences while applying innovative and client-centered care practices.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized university's Occupational Therapy Program
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
  • Demonstrates a commitment to client-centered care
  • Possesses current acute care experience
  • Demonstrates skill and interest in working with individuals with varied diagnoses and impairments
  • Demonstrates a commitment to developing an individual’s optimum level of independence, restoring function, and community reintegration
  • Possess an attitude of respect and sensitivity towards clients with varied backgrounds, abilities, and educational statuses
  • Demonstrates familiarity with the assessment and treatment of cognitive impairments
  • Demonstrates initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to determine innovative solutions and treatment plans
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families, as well as other members of the healthcare team, within a challenging and exciting healthcare environment.
