About The Position

California Rehabilitation Institute’s outpatient therapy clinic in Century City/Los Angeles provides care for patients with neurologic injuries or disorders, including CVA, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and Parkinson’s disease, as well as other conditions. The clinic provides coordinated, multidisciplinary PT, OT, and SLP services and emphasizes smooth transitions through the continuum of care. The Occupational Therapist contributes to the clinic’s development and growth, delivers high-quality patient care, values teamwork and communication, and works with minimal supervision. The role evaluates patients and develops and delivers discipline-specific treatment to support functional recovery and return to community activities.

Requirements

Current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for state licensure.
Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
Complete post-offer employment testing (POETs) before the first day of work.

Responsibilities

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Design functional treatment programs that support an effective return to community activities.
Educate patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
Perform other professional duties related to patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
