About The Position

Adelphi is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services at a correctional facility in Beaumont, Virginia. The role involves providing direct patient care under established treatment plans, including therapeutic interventions, functional assessments, and ongoing monitoring of patient progress. The OT will perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, implement therapeutic exercises, and maintain accurate documentation. This is a contract position with a part-time schedule of up to 32 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Active Virginia license
CPR Certification

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services consistent with the scope of licensure and facility policies.
Perform patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans under established guidelines.
Provide direct patient care and therapeutic interventions to improve functional abilities.
Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to address patient-specific needs.
Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.
Maintain accurate documentation for all patients receiving occupational therapy services.
Complete evaluations, progress notes, reports, and other required documentation.
Attend and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Complete all assigned tasks within established facility timelines.
Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility.
