About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Occupational Therapist opportunity in Burke, Virginia! This is a float position between Silas Burke and Braddock Glen or Woodleigh Chase Sunrise at Silas Burke, a beautiful Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. The role requires 30+ hours per week, allowing you to split your time between facilities as best suits you. As an Occupational Therapist, you will empower residents to regain independence and improve their quality of life by creating personalized treatment plans and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team. You will support daily activities, adaptive techniques, and cognitive rehabilitation, bringing compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise to every session.

Requirements

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Virginia
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in geriatrics or long-term care is a plus
  • Strong communication, compassion, and a can-do spirit

Responsibilities

  • Empower residents to regain independence and improve quality of life
  • Create personalized treatment plans and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team
  • Support daily activities, adaptive techniques, and cognitive rehab
  • Bring compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise to every session
  • Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
  • Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
  • Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
