About The Position

Assesses and treats patients referred for Occupational Therapy. Organizes and conducts Occupational Therapy programs to restore function, maximize independence, reduce pain, and prevent or correct disability.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification is required within the first 90 days of hire, thereafter an annual BLS refresher will be required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development required for effective communication and care of child, adolescent, adult, and older adult.
• Frequent stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting is required when moving patients and/or equipment during treatment.
• Good interpersonal skills and sensitivity are necessary.
• Florida State licensure to practice Occupational Therapy.

Nice To Haves

• Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
• Certification in Physical Agent Modalities
• Advanced Specialty Certification, including, but not limited to: Physical Rehabilitation (BCPR), Environmental Modification (SCEM or SCEM-A), Low Vision (SCLV), Gerontology (BCG), OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered)
• 2 years acute care Occupational Therapy experience
