About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our fun and growing outpatient pediatric and ABA clinics in Hampton or Newport News, VA! We offer a supportive and flexible environment for those who love pediatrics. Our team is therapist-led, with a Center Director who is both an SLP and a BCBA, ensuring a deep understanding of our clinicians' needs. We are dedicated to empowering children, supporting families, and fostering growth through purpose-driven pediatric therapy.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Nice To Haves

Experience in pediatrics.
Experience in an outpatient setting.
Experience in an ABA clinic setting.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
Provide pediatric OT services in a fun, clinic-based setting.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (ABA + therapy).
Support kids and families in reaching meaningful milestones.
