About The Position

We are a small, dynamic team within the Special Education department that is committed to facilitating educational outcomes for students that reflect their interests, abilities, and potential. We divide schools geographically among our team, enjoy each other as co-workers, and appreciate the unique role we play in serving the students of KIPP Public Schools. The caseloads are very manageable, and we have planned for growth in each of these positions. The available therapist position will work with our 5 KIPP schools in the Stockton area. This position is Full-time in-person and reports to the Lead of the OT-APE team. KIPP Public Schools Northern California is a thriving nonprofit network of 22 free, public charter schools open to all students. Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Current license to practice Occupational Therapy through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
Demonstrated knowledge of various school-based Occupational Therapy assessments.
Demonstrated desire and success in working with students and families from educationally underserved areas.
Ability to work independently in school settings.
Ability to travel within the SF Bay Area with own transportation (mileage reimbursed between schools).
Must possess a valid California driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Nice To Haves

A Minimum of 3 years of experience providing occupational therapy services.
A minimum of 1 year of experience providing occupational therapy services to children in school settings.
Bilingual (Spanish or Vietnamese) is beneficial.
Familiarity with SEIS, PowerSchool, and Medi-Cal billing and data systems is helpful.
