About The Position
Responsible for screening, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for patients in inpatient, Long Term Care, Alzheimer’s, Home Health & Hospice, and outpatient settings. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in inpatient, Long Term Care, Alzheimer’s, Home Health & Hospice, and outpatient settings.
- Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Proficiency in patient screening, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to counsel patients and families.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.

- Supervisory experience (as the position directly supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants).
Responsibilities
- Managing patient caseloads in all clinical settings from screenings and evaluations through discharges.
- Ensuring compliance with State and Federal Regulations.
- Active participation in the Interdisciplinary Team approach to patient care.
- Providing necessary billing documentation for billing purposes.
- Communicating effectively with physicians, other members of the rehabilitation team, and others as indicated regarding treatment plan and patient response to plan.
- Counseling patients and families according to the degree of disability or impairment.
- Completing all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Participating in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Maintaining established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Attending meetings and in-service sessions, as directed.
- Requiring regular attendance and punctuality.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
