About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to use their skills to enhance the independence, health, and wellbeing of older Australians. The role involves delivering evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions to clients under aged care funding programs, with a focus on reablement and restorative care. The goal is to support older people to maintain or regain independence, mobility, and confidence, enabling them to continue living safely at home. The position is with BaptistCare, a leading home care provider, and is based in the Northern Suburbs - Brunswick, Pascoe Vale, Coburg, Preston, Fawkner.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and deliver individualised occupational therapy programs for aged care clients in a community setting
  • Postgraduate experience in aged care, rehabilitation, or community settings
  • Comprehensive understanding of reablement and restorative care models
  • Confident working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Alignment with BaptistCare’s values and mission
  • Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a reliable, registered vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage Insurance.
