The Occupational Therapist is responsible and accountable for residents’ evaluation, ongoing assessment, planning, and implementation of therapy interventions. They develop and revise the plan of care based on residents' needs, establish functional goals, outcomes, and discharge plans. The role also involves planning for residents' discharge, anticipating their long-term and/or short-term needs, and educating other healthcare team members, residents, family, and caregivers on information regarding the care plan for the residents.
