About The Position

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to support middle school students in Bangor, Maine for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time occupational therapy position in a collaborative educational / special education setting. Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Active Maine Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility)
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

Interest or experience in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education preferred

Responsibilities

Provide school-based occupational therapy services to middle school students
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and services
Deliver direct therapy services (individual and small group)
Support students with fine motor skills and handwriting, sensory processing and sensory integration, executive functioning and organization, and activities of daily living (ADLs) and school participation
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), and physical therapists (PTs)
Recommend and implement classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
Communicate with families and caregivers regarding student progress
