About The Position
Join the outpatient rehabilitation team at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri, as an Occupational Therapist. Help patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions regain independence in their daily lives. Work one-on-one with patients to improve functional abilities, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs) in a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient setting. The opportunity is open to experienced occupational therapists and new graduates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification or license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
Nice To Haves
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
- AOTA membership.
- OTAC membership.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function.
- Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training.
- Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP).
- Document care and monitor patient progress in the Epic EMR.
- Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines.
