About The Position
We’re seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students with disabilities in the school setting. You’ll evaluate and provide evidence-based interventions to improve student participation and independence in daily and educational activities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help develop and implement IEPs that meet individual student needs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current state Occupational Therapy license and completion of clinical internship
- Knowledge of K-12 special education requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and independent work skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications
Nice To Haves
- Experience with school-aged children preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student occupational performance and create comprehensive reports
- Provide targeted, evidence-based therapy to facilitate learning, independence, and participation
- Adapt environments, use assistive technology, and train staff to support student needs
- Educate students, families, and school staff on strategies to improve skills, safety, and daily functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop IEPs and intervention plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate services across the IEP team
- Maintain accurate records and document therapy services for accountability and reimbursement purposes
