Requirements

Certified Occupational Therapist (OT) by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or Certified Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) by the National Board in Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Current state of Iowa occupational therapist license.
CPR certification and Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certifications are required as an employee.
Background check is required.

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients using a variety of techniques according to established standards of care.
Therapist will also be cross-trained to provide coverage in other areas such as inpatient care, adult outpatients, and home health.
Facilitates development and rehabilitation of patients with diverse mental, emotional, and physical needs by planning and administering occupational therapy.
Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities utilizing compensatory strategies and adaptive equipment education.
