About The Position

Healing Haven is a state-of-the-art behavioral clinic for children with autism and their families. We believe in treating the family as a whole, and as such siblings and parents are often incorporated into our therapy. Our one-of-a-kind campus in Madison Heights includes four different clinics each designed to serve the specific needs of children and young adults through every stage of life. Our unique services include a 3-month parent training program, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and day-time center based services for children between the ages of 2 to young adults. We strive to provide compassionate and creative care to meet the needs of our families. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping children build independence, functional skills, sensory regulation, and meaningful participation across environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current and unrestricted Michigan Occupational Therapist license
  • Ability to maintain a clinical caseload of billable hours
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of autism and behavior analysis preferred, but not required
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred, but not required
  • Credentialing with major insurance providers preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments for program placement and progress monitoring
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Utilize ongoing data analysis to modify treatment strategies as needed
  • Supervise and support therapeutic programming
  • Facilitate parent meetings and parent training to promote carryover across environments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and quality of care
  • Complete documentation, reports, and authorization-related communication with payors
  • Stay current with research and emerging methodologies in occupational therapy and autism services
