Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Michigan Occupational Therapist license
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation experience is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services based on patient needs and goals
- Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living
- Address strength, coordination, cognition, positioning, mobility, and functional skills
- Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, physicians, patients, families, and facility staff
- Participate in care planning and discharge planning as needed
