This Occupational Therapist position is at the newly expanded 49th & Oxbow Outpatient Rehabilitation location, with expansion ready early November. The role involves assessing clients/patients/residents and designing occupational therapy treatments to help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. The therapist will conduct evaluations and provide interventions for individuals with functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments, developing and modifying realistic therapy goals and treatment plans. The position requires knowledge of age-related treatments, incorporating current research, and potentially treating individuals of all ages with various diagnoses. Documentation must adhere to departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements. The role also involves patient education, adhering to clinical practice guidelines, and exhibiting flexibility with work schedules. Interaction with external individuals like providers and case managers is expected. Depending on the facility, the work may focus on post-acute, long-term care, or home health care environments. There may be opportunities to supervise assistants, aides, and students, and to provide education to peers. The position is a Union Position: No.
