About The Position

An outpatient orthopedic team in St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide quality patient care and help patients return to athletics, work, daily life, and other activities they enjoy. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional patient experience through evidence-based, individualized occupational therapy and collaboration with patients, referring physicians, and other care partners.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• State Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with occupational therapy research and use evidence-based practice, including research, clinician expertise, and patient perception.
• Develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain positive interactions with centers and patients.
• Collaborate with referring physicians to set objective patient goals and determine the type, frequency, and duration of occupational therapy.
• Understand and follow the applicable state Practice Act and laws governing occupational therapist practice and supervision.
• Participate in designing and implementing new programs or procedures with manager and referring physician approval, following HIPPA guidelines as written in the posting.
• Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care within state rules and federal regulations.
• Provide comprehensive, individualized treatment programs and complete patient care responsibilities and documentation accurately and on time.
