Requirements

  • Bachelor's Required
  • Current License to Practice in the State of Florida
  • BLS
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or Doctorate Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Works under the direction of the Director of Therapy Services and/or the Supervisor of Therapy Services.
  • Provides direct patient care to all those patients referred for OT at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital and The Villages Regional Hospital.
  • Participates in all team conferences, staff meetings and any other appropriate meetings deemed necessary by the specific unit.
  • Able to interact on a professional basis with all Therapy Team members and is able to understand and react effectively to the unique needs of patients in reference to specific age groups.
  • Demonstrates competency to evaluate, plan, and initiate care for patients in accordance with discipline specific therapy standards as defined by the Florida Department of Health, Board of OT.
  • Provides instruction and assistance to all Therapy Team members and acts in compliance with the ethical conduct of the organization at all times.
