About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Occupational Therapist to join its home healthcare team in Stoughton, Massachusetts. This full-time role provides skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes, helping them improve independence, functional abilities, safety, and quality of life. The position offers flexible scheduling, competitive salaried pay, mileage and licensure reimbursement, and support from experienced clinical and administrative leadership. Clinicians work with patients, caregivers, and care teams, with autonomy to provide individualized care. VRNS participates in the ABI Waiver Program, which helps provide consistent scheduling while preserving flexibility and independence.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license.
At least one year of clinical experience.
Afternoon availability.

Nice To Haves

Previous home care experience.
Monday–Friday availability.
Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve functional independence.
Train patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Assess patients’ home environments and recommend appropriate safety modifications and adaptive equipment.
Provide education and training to patients and caregivers.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and other members of the care team.
Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
