About The Position
BrightStar Care of Amarillo is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide home-based care to pediatric and adult patients throughout Amarillo and surrounding Texas Panhandle communities. This PRN position focuses on helping patients improve daily functioning and work toward individualized therapy goals. The role includes conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, providing therapy visits, and supervising assigned Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
Requirements
- Active Texas Occupational Therapist license.
- At least one year of occupational therapy experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Own device and reliable internet connection to access the schedule and complete charting.
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduled visits.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-home occupational therapy evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and functional goals.
- Provide treatment and follow-up visits based on patient needs.
- Supervise assigned Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and review their documentation.
- Communicate patient progress and care needs with the clinical team.
