About The Position

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home-based Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to three years of age) with developmental delays and their families. This role offers a flexible, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to make a daily difference in young children's lives. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency with programs across California, specializing in early intervention and offering multi-disciplinary services including occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. The company is looking to grow its team of Occupational Therapists.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Early Intervention experience preferred
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy/occupational therapy/speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
