Requirements

  • Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current Licensed, registered of Certified in the state of practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
  • Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
  • Valid Driver's License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
  • Proof of current auto insurance & registration
  • Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
  • Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)
  • All Aegis Healthcare employees must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Address patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality
  • Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Teach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
  • Assess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short-term treatment goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
