The Occupational Therapist will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct occupational therapy services, programs, and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities. This role involves collaborating with staff from related departments, developing and maintaining occupational therapy standards, and participating in resident care planning and discharge planning. The position requires supervision of occupational therapy assistants and administration of therapy services via Telehealth as required. The therapist will also be responsible for maintaining treatment records, resident files, and progress notes, ensuring accurate billing, and performing administrative duties related to medical forms and reports. A key aspect of the role is to write appropriate orders for Occupational Therapy services in the electronic medical chart and report any questions or concerns to the Director of Rehabilitation.
