About The Position

Weiser Care of Cascadia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. They will conduct assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans. The role also involves developing and implementing therapeutic activities to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and balance, and providing guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive equipment and techniques. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and maintaining accurate patient records are also key aspects of the position. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques
  • Experience working with patients with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities
  • Must submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.

Nice To Haves

  • Occupational Therapist Assistant experience may be considered depending on overall experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Help patients improve their ability to perform daily living activities, such as dressing, grooming, and eating
  • Develop and implement therapeutic activities to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and balance
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive equipment and techniques to improve their independence
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress reports
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned
