FTE: 0.9, Shift: Day, Schedule: 36 hours/week Join our team at Children’s Village! Our Occupational Therapists are comprised of a diverse group of dedicated professionals that incorporate many general and specialty lines of service. We have a strong mentorship program and encourage new graduates to apply. Our team enjoys the following aspects of working: Primarily serve children between ages 0-3. Provide in-person services primarily in the home/community settings, but also in the outpatient clinic setting. As part of our Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers Program (ESIT) team there are educational opportunities to further skills in relationship-based practice. Work collaboratively as part of a team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, early childhood educators, nurses, and behavioral therapists. Paid mileage reimbursement. This professional-level position offers you independent operation, and the capacity to apply your initiative, analysis, and service orientation in your daily work functions.

Requirements

  • Registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association or successfully completed the educational requirements of occupational therapy
  • State of Washington Occupational Therapist license
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of occupational therapy experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy in accordance with the plan of care
  • Assist the IDT in the evaluation and assessment of the patient's functional level by applying appropriate diagnostic and prognostic procedures and tests
  • Recommend orthotics as indicated by condition and needs
  • Treat the participant through the use of therapeutic activities designed to restore function and self-care activities for the purpose of improving function
  • Observe, record, and report the participant's reaction to treatment and any changes in the participant’s condition to the physician, Clinical Director or designed, or IDT as appropriate
